📝Informative tool ( བརྡ་སྤྲོད་པའི་གྱི་ལག་ཆས།) refer to repository of content or information. information tool can text, image, video, animation and graphic. Example of informative tools: social media Apps, Internet, Encyclopedia, Books, Journals, Articles, etc.

 

ICT integration in the classroom is use of technology in the process of teaching and learning to reinforce, supplement, and extend skills. I personally feel that with the modern development ICT plays a vital role in teaching and learning field since it made learning as well as teaching much easier and resourceful.  With current situation of pandemic it is widely used as so called e-learning with ICT and internet as its medium.

In a continuum of technology integration there are three level known as basic, middle, and high level of technology integration. I was able to grab a clear concept of each level as our tutor took us through it with explicit explanation with examples each. Moreover the scenario presented to us to analyze gave me deeper understanding.

If we present images, videos, animated PPT and use spreadsheet and calculate simple calculations is called basic integration of technology, on the other hand if we create simulation lesson, design learning activities using tutorial software’s and create PhET simulation it is middle level of technology integration where as if we add value, improve, create and solve instructional problems it is high level of technology integration. From my point of view I fall under middle level of technology integration.

Another hour of session was about SAMR integration model which was designed by Dr. Ruben Puentedura. SMAR (Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, Redefinition) is integrated in lesson planning and delivery of lesson as well to directly substitute, further improve, modify and create new task.
